Giving Back Together: 100 miles for AKF

By Adil Lakhani

Join me in celebrating by giving to AKF

Inspired by Mawlana Hazar Imam's recent Chicago Marathon and his guidance focused on generosity through various means during his USA Visit, I’m raising funds for the Aga Khan Foundation USA. AKF USA is an organization that’s exceptionally dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living in remote, impoverished parts of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. 100% of donations received by AKF go directly to the programs and people it serves.

This fundraiser will give us an incredible opportunity to share our gratitude and improve the lives of those truly in need. It will conclude on Feb 7, 2026 where I will run the Rocky Raccoon 100 mile ultramarathon in Huntsville, TX.

Why I chose this race? It falls on the same week as Mawlana Hazar Imam's first Imamat Day and is located just 65 miles from the newly inaugurated Ismaili Center Houston.

Please join me in supporting this incredible organization. Every dollar you donate goes directly to their key program areas, including:
- Agriculture and food security
- Early childhood development
- Education
- Health and nutrition

Bonus donation levels:
Donate $100+ - Sponsor a mile # of your choosing (first come, first serve)
Donate $300+ - 3 months of running advice directly from me. This includes 30-min bi-weekly calls, goals conversation, building a personalized plan, and answering all the questions you may have about improving your running. Plus, you also get to sponsor a mile # of your choosing.

The more people who know about AKF, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
