We’ve created this page to honor the memory of our beloved father, Salim Rajani — a man whose quiet strength, deep humility, and boundless generosity left a mark on everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.

He was the kind of person who didn’t just talk about doing good — he lived it. Through every small act of service, every encouraging word, and every selfless decision, he reminded us that compassion was never about how much you had — but how much you gave from the heart.

Dad always said:
“One day we’ll hit the lottery — and when we do, we’re giving to the poor, then paying off our debt, and then living free"

But the truth is, he never needed to win anything to be rich in spirit. He gave as if he had already won. Whether it was helping someone through a difficult time, quietly supporting a cause, or simply being there with a listening ear and kind eyes — he gave constantly, and without expecting anything in return.

Salim’s life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and service. He led with love, and believed that dignity and opportunity should be within reach for everyone. These are the very values reflected in the mission of the Aga Khan Foundation, which works globally to break the cycle of poverty and uplift entire communities through education, healthcare, clean water, and sustainable development.
